Michael Jackson Will Live on Forever as the King of Pop

Michael Jackson began his assent to the zenith of international pop culture in the 1970’s as the stand-out member of the Jackson 5. His aspirations for success as a solo artist would be realized beyond anyone’s wildest imagination in the following decade with the release of his albums Off The Wall, Thriller, and Bad. Michael Jackson’s music was the blueprint for todays hio-hop generation. His humanaterianism for the children of the world should inspire us all.

Michael Jackson: Moonwalker debuted in 1988 as Jackson’s second foray into movies. By the end of the 1980s, Jackson had officially been dubbed “Artist of the Decade.” Michael Jackson was unquestionably the biggest pop star of the ’80s, and certainly one of the most popular recording artists of all time. In his prime, Jackson was an unstoppable juggernaut, possessed of all the tools to dominate the charts seemingly at will: an instantly identifiable voice, eye-popping dance moves, stunning musical versatility, and loads of sheer star power.

Michael Jackson was an idol to all even if you don’t like him as a person you respect him for his accomplishemnts. Michael Jackson was raised in a family of professional musicians. His father, Joseph, was a harsh disciplinarian, but the daily beatings he issued produced exceptional work out of the children. Michael Jackson - superhero, cartoon, singer, dancer, supremely troubled dude - made all this music, and it’s amazing.

Michael Jackson’s first release as a solo performer was the aching ballad “Got To Be There“, a major transatlantic hit. A revival of Bobby Day’s rock ‘n’ roll novelty “Rockin’ Robin” reached number 2 on the US chart in 1972, while the sentimental film theme “Ben” topped the chart later in the year. Michael Jackson redefined pop culture and music over his 40-year career.

Michael Jackson, one of the most widely beloved entertainers and profoundly influential artists of all-time, leaves an indelible imprint on popular music and culture. His artistry and magnetism changed the music landscape forever. Beatles Anthology (Dts)
The Beatles Anthology was originally shown on TV in 1995, when John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr told The Beatles’ story for the first time. The Anthology project was a worldwide sensation spawning not only the TV series and a bestselling book, but also three double-CD sets that each topped the album charts in the USA, plus the songs Free As A Bird and Real Love - the first new Beatles recordings in 25 years. The Beatles Anthology DVD box set features all of the original eight TV episodes that candidly revealed the story of how the four lads from Liverpool changed everything… but it now features the final chapter; never-released footage of the last jam session of Paul, George and Ringo, playing non-Beatles material. All 10 hours of the original Anthology series are contained on four DVD discs, plus an additional disc with 81 minutes of Special Features. Nearly all of the material included on this 5th disc has never been seen before. For years, rumour has been rife among fans of the existence of intimate footage of Paul, George and Ringo jamming together during breaks in the making of the Anthology. This session and other get togethers were filmed over a 12-month period when the three Beatles met in private and at Abbey Road studios. It includes the trio warmly remembering personal moments from their early days, reflecting on how they made their music and footage of them shot in the studio as they recorded Free As A Bird and Real Love. Technically, the DVDs offer a spectacular audio/visual experience, featuring re-graded picture quality and new audio mastering including 5.1-surround sound and a new stereo PCM soundtrack.
