Ovation’s CSD225 double neck guitar is the perfect guitar for live performance. It features full-scale 6 and 12 string neck, a comfortable super shallow roundback body, and Ovation’s own OP 24+ preamp for full tonal control.

Ovation manufactures many different types of these wonderful guitar models. Ovation gained its fame with its round back and today makes roundbacks in 3 body sizes - super shallow, mid-depth, and deep. Whichever one you choose, you’ll get clear projection and rich, full tone. Ovation has never stopped challenging and changing the unwritten rules for building guitars.

Ovation pioneered the acoustic/electric guitar in 1971 so no other builder has more experience with this revolutionary design. Multiple soundholes in the upper bout allow for more efficient bracing and tone contouring. Ovation applied 30-odd years of guitarmaking innovation to design an affordable guitar that doesn’t sound like an affordable guitar. These guitars boast a bigger sound than guitars costing twice as much. Ovations became hugely popular in the 70’s because they were the first manufacturer that came out with a decent-sounding plug-and-play acoustic electric. Also, they are fairly durable.

Ovation pioneered the acoustic/electric guitar, and it still sounds great! This is a demo of the Ovation played using the internal piezo pickup, with a battery powering the internal preamp.

Alvarez Yairi makes a variety of WY1 models available for sale, each distinguished primarily by the type of wood used for the top and side. Plug it in with the powerful Fishman Sonicore preamp and you have all you need to play incredible sounding chords that will brighten up any acoustic set.
